This program is designed to provide residents with advanced and concentrated training in Family Medicine and prepare them for examination leading to board certification. Attitudes, behaviors, knowledge, and skills that are critical to Family Medicine will be attained through longitudinal experience that promotes educational competencies defined by the ACGME. The residents will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, actively providing care for a diverse, underserved community. Rotations in specialties such as sports medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, gynecology, as well as many others, will equip the resident with the knowledge and proficiency to become a competent, multi-faceted physician.

Additionally, structured didactic lectures, morning reports, conferences, journal clubs, and workshops are included in the curriculum to supplement experiential learning with an emphasis on outcomes-oriented, evidence-based studies that delineate common diseases affecting patients of all ages.
