PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS

Family Medicine (PSC) is an ACGME-accredited Residency Program and participate in the NRMP Match (National Resident Matching Program). Applications are accepted directly through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). 

  1. Official Medical School transcripts.
  2. Personal Statement.
  3. 3 Letters of Recommendation.
  4. Completed Medical School within the past 2 years (exceptions possible).
  5. DO applications welcomed.
  6. Passed USMLE/COMLEX Step 1, Step 2 Clinical Knowledge on the first attempt.
  7. Passed USMLE Step 2 CS exam or the COMLEX Level 2 PE exam on the first attempt. Minimum Score the program will consider for interview 210/450 (exceptions possible).
COMLEX/USMLE Board scores Step 3 if applicable as follows:
  1. If out of medical school for more than two (2) years you must have Step 3 with passing scores.
  2. USMLE scores must be over 198.
  3. COMLEX Scores must be over 350.

Applicants must not be out of medical school for more than 10 years (exceptions possible).

IMG’s (International Medical Graduates) are accepted.

IMG’S (International Medical Graduates) must provide:
  1. Valid ECFMG Certification.
  2. Permanent resident status.
  3. Clinical Experience in the US (Hands-on Experience Preferred).
  4. English Fluency.
  5. Larkin Community Hospital’s Graduate Medical Education Program only sponsors J-1 visas.
