The General Surgery Residency at Larkin Community Hospital has demonstrated exponential growth through the dedication of not only the faculty to the resident’s education but by the motivation and ambition of our residents. Their commitment to both education and academic surgery is demonstrated through various achievements. We are very proud of our residents and are excited to celebrate their success here in residency and beyond.
Our 2020 Graduates pursued fellowships. Dr. Ahmed Ghamraoui will be training under Dr. Joseph Ricotta as a vascular fellow at Delray Medical Center. Dr. Jacob Jabbour will be training as a hand surgery fellow at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Farnaz Haji will be training as a Breast Surgery fellow at UCLA. All three graduates of the 2019-2020 class have passed their written board certification and are awaiting for the board to schedule the oral board component as it was delayed due to Covid-19.
Our 2021 Graduates pursued Fellowship. Dr. Victoria Konovalova will be joining Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York for a Minimally Invasive Surgery/Bariatric Fellowship. Dr. Ashis Patel will be joining Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania for a Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship.
