PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus Sports Medicine is a one-year program that has obtained accreditation through the ACGME. We received our 10-year continued accreditation in April 2023.
The Sports Medicine Fellowship of Larkin Community Hospital PSC is a dynamic and intensive one-year experience, designed to provide an academic and clinical experience to begin a career as a Sports Medicine Physician. The fellowship is under the direction of Dr. John Maarouf. The Sports Medicine fellows work closely with Sports Medicine, Neuromuscular-skeletal Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery Faculties throughout South Florida. During the fellowship year, the Fellow will have the opportunity to utilize their OMT skills and become experts with treating musculoskeletal injuries and athlete-related conditions. The Sports Medicine Fellow is responsible for providing care for local high school teams, local youth sports, professional sports with Miami FC, and ringside coverage for local amateur and professional combat sports in the region.
