PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The core mission of this fellowship is to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary clinical training for the Sleep Medicine leaders of the future. A secondary goal is to provide training and experience in scholarly activities to promote interest in a career in academic medicine.
We hope to train physicians who will develop new and additional understanding and contribute knowledge to the field of sleep medicine.

Our fellows will be expected to provide excellent clinical care to our patients with a variety of sleep disorders, as well as demonstrate care and respect for their families. The goal of our program is to teach the fellows to be competent, inquisitive, knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate sleep medicine physicians with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The fellows will encounter a broad fund of medical knowledge in sleep medicine with emphasis on core competencies in order for the fellow to provide rational, comprehensive and cost effective patient-centered care. They will be able to analyze and learn from their own practice, understand the health care systems, develop excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and display irreproachable professionalism.
We are committed to promote personalized excellence and development of talents and skills that align with each fellow’s career aspirations. All of these provided in a safe, supportive, and inclusive training environment that values diversity and tolerance.
