PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Rheumatology fellowship program at Larkin Community Hospital is a two – year ACGME accredited program that provide the fellows with training in the fundamentals, as well as the latest knowledge and experience in clinical rheumatology. Our Rheumatology Fellowship program is dedicated to having a highly qualified, diverse faculty, staff and administration which are essential to preparing the fellows to be successful in our culturally diverse state and in the world, creating an environment that supports success for all fellows. The weekly didactic conferences are case – based discussions, grand rounds, journal clubs, research and board review. A key educational aspect throughout the training program involves for the fellow to achieve success in six general competency areas such as Patient care skills, Medical Knowledge, Interpersonal and communication skills, Professionalism, Practiced based learning and improvement and Systems based practice. Our goal is to provide every fellow, who graduates, is competent in all aspects of rheumatic care and inspire them to practice with excellence as their leaders in their fields.
