The Department of Research and Academic Affairs would like to spotlight Dr. Alberto Burgos. As the Program Director for the PSC Hospice and Palliative Care program, his team presented at the LCH CME Event in February 2024. Furthermore, Dr. Burgos is spearheading the establishment of a Supportive Care Unit at the Larkin Hospital Palm Springs Campus, a testament to our commitment to serving the community.

Outstanding Community Service Award 2024
Dr. Jack Michel, President and Chairman of Larkin Health System, and Dr. Sujan Poudel, the Research Coordinator in the Department of Research & Academic Affairs of Larkin Community Hospital, received an outstanding service award from the Bangladesh Association of Florida during the Asian fair on March 3, 2024. This award was given for their significant contribution to the Bangladeshi Community by vaccinating during the COVID-19 pandemic 2021.
