PROGRAM DESIGN
The program at Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs aims to:
- Provide fellows with extensive training that focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of disorders of the cardiovascular system.
- Promote patient safety by incorporating quality and process improvement initiatives to the program’s curriculum.
- Integrate lifelong learning into the educational process, and graduate cardiologists who will use their critical thinking skills to incorporate evidence-based medicine into their daily practice.
- Instill a strong foundation in professionalism and medical ethics by emphasizing the value of patient-centered care.
- Promote and foster skills in research methodology, enabling fellows to conduct independent research and contribute to the body of knowledge and advancement of cardiovascular medicine.
