Osteopathic Manipulation Student Rotations

Students interested in Rotating with Larkin Community Hospital’s FP/NMM or NMM Plus 1 Program need to contact Marcos Salguero in the GME Department at msalguero@larkinhospital.com.
We accept students from around the country. We are generally open to more than one student rotating at a time. We ask that you plan no less than a 4-week clerkship.

Students rotating in our program will spend the majority of their time with the NMM team. (If desiring to see the FP side of the program, special arrangements can be accommodated with advanced notice.) It will consist of typically spending 2 weeks in our Delray office with Dr. Licata and Dr. Chapman. Another 2 weeks will be spent with Dr. Stein in the Fort Lauderdale office. Finally, you will spend Wednesdays and Thursdays with the residents in didactics and NMM clinic in Miami with Dr. Hye.

If you are auditioning for our program please make the program leadership aware early in your rotation so that we can get to know you better.

Expectations:

1) You may wear scrubs with your white coat and identification badge.

2) You will arrive on time at all rotation sites. Please confirm the day prior as start time varies by attending physician and location.

3) In the resident clinic, you are expected to see and treat patients on your own with the guidance of the senior residents and attendings. We expect thorough History and Physicals as well as an Osteopathic Care Plan.

4) You are responsible for writing your notes in our EMR, however, we are all here to teach you not just how to utilize NMM, but all aspects of providing superior Osteopathic health care.

4) Expect to give a 20-30 minute presentation during didactics.
