Allopathic Psychiatry Residency Program Data

Welcome to the Larkin Graduate Medical Education Department. On behalf of Larkin Community Hospital and affiliated GME participating sites, I would like to extend our gratitude for your awareness in choosing Larkin Hospital as your preferred facility to develop your postgraduate training.

The Allopathic GME at Larkin is represented by a single ACGME approved Psychiatry Residency Program, led by the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) in collaboration with the Program Director and the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC), who is responsible for assuring compliance with the ACGME Common, Specialty Specific and Institutional Requirements.

Our didactic mission extends far beyond the background of producing board eligible physicians for the increasing demand of our community. We are faithful in preparing you as a competent doctor and life-long learner, with the maximum academic, ethical, clinical and professional values of medicine, and capable of providing an excellent healthcare to the individual through all cycles of life; emphasizing on the bio-psycho-social formulation of patient care.

Larkin educational surroundings are designed to fulfill the physical, emotional, and educational needs of all our residents.  Larkin Community Hospital is dedicated to developing medical education, patient care, and scholarly activities. The Allopathic Larkin Community Hospital Psychiatry Residency Program has been recently accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and will start its first academic year on July 1, 2012. We have been approved to offer 32 resident’s slots (8 residents per postgraduate year of training)
IMG’s (International Medical Graduates) are accepted.
Larkin Community Hospital’s Graduate Medical Education Program does not sponsor visas.
