Advanced Education in General Dentistry Admission Requirements

Eligibility

The AEGD program is open to graduates of accredited U.S. and Canadian dental schools and non-accredited dental schools.

Candidates must possess a D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree (or equivalent) prior to beginning the program.

International Dental School Graduates

Foreign-trained dentists are required to provide proof of US residency or legal status that provides lawful authorization to work in the United States of America. Larkin Community Hospital will not sponsor any foreign trained applicant. Applications that do not meet the criteria required will be rejected automatically.

All applicants are required to have passed NDBE Part 1 and Part 2 or INDBE.

All candidates:

Applicants are required to submit 3 letters of recommendation, current curriculum vitae and a personal statement explaining the reason(s) why he/she is pursuing Postdoctoral training in General Dentistry. The Admission Committee will select candidates based upon all documentation provided and will contact qualified applicants for a personal interview.  After completion of the interview process and bench test, the Program Director will notify all candidates of their acceptance.
