Larkin Health System is an integrated healthcare delivery system accredited by the Joint Commission with locations in South Miami, Hialeah and Hollywood, Florida. Our network of acute care hospitals provide a complete continuum of healthcare services, including a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, and home health agencies in Miami-Dade and Broward County. GME COMMITMENT

Larkin Health System (LHS), Graduate Medical Education (GME) Mission Statement is: To train the next generation of health professionals who reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity of the community we serve. The Board and LHS collectively and individually recognize LHS as the official sponsoring institution for ACGME-accredited GME training programs, and LHS’s Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) as the oversight committee responsible for GME at the LHS. LHS is financially committed to support the administrative, educational, financial, human and clinical resources needed to fulfill all responsibilities as required by ACGME.

Larkin Health System is committed to and assures that administrative, educational, financial, human, and clinical resources and structure are provided to support GME. This allows GME to be conducted in a scholarly environment and to be committed to excellence in both clinical education and medical care. The institution ensures the provision of leadership, financial, clinical, and other resources that enable the institution to achieve compliance with the ACGME Institutional Requirements and to allow educational programs to achieve compliance with Residency Review Committee Program Requirements as well as all other regulatory and accrediting standards. This includes the provision of an ethical, diverse, and professional environment in which the educational curricular requirements as well as the applicable requirements for scholarly activity are met.
